saasland.io runs applications for many developers on shared infrastructure. These rules keep the Platform safe, legal and fair for all of them, and for the people who use their products.

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses saasland.io and to every application deployed on it, including what your application does on behalf of its users. It forms part of the Platform Terms of Service.

You are responsible for your application and for taking reasonable steps to stop your own users from misusing it. If you become aware of abuse in your application, act on it promptly.

2. Illegal and harmful content

Do not use the Platform to host, store, send or link to:

  • child sexual abuse material, in any form (we report it to the authorities);
  • content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or incites violence;
  • harassment, threats, or hateful content targeting people for who they are;
  • content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
  • anything else that is illegal where you or your users are, or where the Platform operates.

3. Fraud, deception and spam

  • No phishing, credential harvesting, scams or other fraud.
  • No impersonation of people or organisations, and no pages designed to look like another service in order to mislead.
  • No unsolicited bulk messages, and no tools whose main purpose is sending them.
  • No payment fraud, abuse of chargebacks, or multiple accounts used to evade limits, suspensions or charges.

4. Malware and network abuse

  • No malware, ransomware, spyware, botnet command and control, or exploit kits.
  • No attacks on other systems: denial of service, unauthorised scanning or vulnerability probing, brute forcing, or exploiting others’ systems.
  • No open proxies, relays or anonymising services offered to the public.
  • No cryptocurrency mining.

5. Respect the Platform and other customers

  • Do not try to break tenant isolation, access other customers’ applications, data or credentials, or reach the control plane or instance metadata from your workloads.
  • Do not try to bypass outbound network controls, quotas, rate limits, billing holds or suspensions.
  • Use build jobs only to build your application’s image.
  • Do not use the Platform in a way that degrades service for others, for example by deliberately exhausting shared resources.

6. Personal data and regulated activities

  • Process personal data lawfully, with a privacy notice for your users and a lawful basis for what you collect.
  • Do not run activities that need a licence or authorisation you do not hold, such as gambling or regulated financial services.
  • If you use billing, follow the rules of your payment provider, including its list of restricted businesses.

7. Security research

We welcome good-faith reports of vulnerabilities in saasland.io. Test only against your own account and applications, do not access or change other customers’ data, do not degrade the service, and report what you find to support@saasland.io (mailbox being set up) with “Security” in the subject. Give us reasonable time to fix an issue before disclosing it. A formal disclosure policy is to be confirmed.

8. Reporting abuse

To report an application hosted on saasland.io, email support@saasland.io (mailbox being set up) with “Abuse” in the subject. Include the address (URL) involved, what you saw and when (with time zone), and any evidence such as message headers or screenshots.

If you are a user of an application with a question about your account or a payment, please contact that application’s developer: they own your account and receive your payments.

9. What we do about violations

We investigate reports and may ask you for information. Depending on how serious and urgent a case is, we may warn you, block specific content or traffic, suspend an application, suspend an organisation or close an account. Clearly illegal content, malware and active attacks can be stopped immediately.

Where reasonably possible we tell you what we did and why, and you can appeal through Support. Suspensions for abuse or security reasons are not lifted by topping up hosting credit, and storage you keep during a suspension continues to accrue cost. We may report illegal activity to the relevant authorities.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Platform grows. The version and effective date are shown at the top of the page, and we will announce material changes in advance. The notice period is to be confirmed.
